Nestled in the heart of Cape Breton Island, Beinn Mhàbu is a vibrant campus of Colaisde na Gàidhlig | The Gaelic College. Here, we offer a truly special post-secondary educational experience that celebrates and immerses students in Gaelic culture.

What We Offer:

• Foundation Year Program: In partnership with Cape Breton University, our Foundation Year Program is designed to give students a solid grounding in Gaelic traditions and values.
• Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies: After completing the first year, students have the exciting opportunity to continue for a second year, earning credits towards a Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies.

Learning Experience:

Our courses are taught in English, but they are rich with the essence of Gaelic culture. Students can dive into a variety of subjects, including:

• History
• Music & Dance
• Folklore
• Literature

Additionally, we offer a year-long course in Scottish Gaelic language, allowing students to connect with the language and its roots.

For Artists:

Beinn Mhàbu is not just for students; we also have a residency program for artists of all disciplines. This program provides a unique chance for artists to explore their craft while being surrounded by the inspiring Gaelic culture of Mabou.
