Our Programs

• Eco-Schools Program: We are part of the Eco-Schools initiative, which encourages schools to engage in environmental education and sustainability practices. This program has been active in Portugal since the 1996/97 school year.
• ClimACT Project: This project runs from 2016 to 2019, focusing on community education for a low-carbon economy transition. It includes e-learning, technical audits, and the implementation of Eco-Schools methodology.

Key Activities

We offer a variety of activities to engage children and families:

• Eco-Challenges: Children participate in fun challenges like the WASH Challenge and Trash Hack Challenge, promoting awareness about water, sanitation, hygiene, and waste management.
• Events: We host events such as the "Dia das Bandeiras Verdes" (Green Flags Day), where schools receive recognition for their environmental efforts.
• Workshops and Seminars: Regular workshops and national seminars are organized to share knowledge and experiences related to environmental education.

Community Involvement

We believe in the importance of community engagement. Our school collaborates with local municipalities, parents, and community partners to promote environmental initiatives and education. We encourage active participation from families in our programs and events.
