- In 1998, entered a cooperation agreement with Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa and the Regional Directorate of Education of Lisbon to expand preschool education.
- In 2000, the official school moved, and Patronato Cristo Rei continued with daycare and kindergarten.
- The daycare was closed in 2006 due to low attendance, leaving only the kindergarten.
- In 2011, renovations led to the opening of a nursery for children aged 1-2 years.
