Welcome to Austin Forest School!

At Austin Forest School, we believe that nature is the best classroom! Nestled in the beautiful Mary Moore Searight Park, our full-time program is designed for kindergarten-aged children who are ready to explore the great outdoors.

A Unique Learning Experience

Inspired by the wonderful Swedish and Danish Kindergarten programs, our approach is all about play-based learning. Here, children lead their own adventures, discovering the world around them through fun and engaging activities. We focus on nurturing kindness and ethical behavior, preparing our little ones for future academic challenges while they play and explore.

Parent-Teacher Collaboration

We know that parents are a child's first teachers! That's why we emphasize strong collaboration between parents and teachers. Together, we create a supportive community that helps children thrive.

Daily Schedule

Our program runs 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year, from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. We provide a healthy snack, but parents are asked to pack a nutritious lunch for their children to enjoy during the day.

With 342 acres of parkland at our doorstep, children at Austin Forest School have endless opportunities to connect with nature. They learn about the environment and develop a sense of stewardship for the world around them.
