Welcome to Kensington Preschool!

Established in 1972, Kensington Preschool (KPS) is a warm and welcoming place for little ones in San Diego. We believe that every child deserves a chance to learn and grow in a fun, play-based environment. Our doors are open to all children aged 2 to 5, and we celebrate the uniqueness of each child in our care.

At KPS, we focus on helping children develop in four important areas:

• Social: Making friends and learning to share.
• Emotional: Understanding feelings and expressing themselves.
• Physical: Developing motor skills through play.
• Intellectual: Exploring new ideas and concepts.

We incorporate Christian values like kindness and respect into our daily activities, creating a nurturing atmosphere where children can thrive. While we model these values, we do not provide formal religious instruction.

Our classes are designed to meet the needs of different age groups, including:

• 2s
• 3s
• 4s
• Transitional Kindergarten

With a low teacher-to-student ratio of no more than 8:1, our dedicated teachers ensure that each child receives the attention they deserve. We also encourage parent involvement through various activities, making it a community effort to support our little learners.

KPS offers some exciting special programs, including:

• A summer program filled with fun activities.
• A parent-child class for our youngest friends aged 18 months to 2 years.
• An extended day program for families needing a little extra time.
