At St. Francis Children’s Center, we believe in the magic of childhood! Since 1968, our not-for-profit social services agency has been dedicated to serving children of all abilities across Milwaukee County. We’re here to support both children with special needs and those without, creating a warm and inclusive environment for everyone.

Our Programs

We offer a variety of engaging programs designed to nurture and inspire:

• Early Childhood Education: Our state-licensed and NAC accredited program has a proud 5-Star Youngstar rating! We provide a full-day, year-round program for children aged six weeks to five years old. Here, your little ones will thrive in a stimulating and caring atmosphere.
• In-Home Treatment Services: For infants and toddlers from birth to three years old who may have a diagnosed condition, developmental delay, or atypical development, we offer essential services. This includes occupational, physical, and speech therapies, as well as special education and service coordination.

Our Philosophy

We believe that "all children can learn if we can learn how to teach them." This guiding principle shapes everything we do, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to flourish.

Family Support

In addition to our core programs, we proudly host a Family Activity Center. This space offers free and low-cost events and programming for families with children who have special needs, fostering community and connection.

Professional Support

To further assist our families, we have an on-site licensed psychologist. They provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions, along with psychological evaluations for children, ensuring that every child and family has access to the support they need.
