Nestled in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon, St. James Child Development Center is a warm and welcoming place where little ones can learn and grow. As a proud Lutheran-affiliated preschool and daycare, we believe in nurturing each child's unique spirit and potential.

At our center, we embrace a play-based and research-based approach to learning through our exciting curriculum known as The Creative Curriculum. This program is designed for children from infants all the way to kindergarten, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to explore, discover, and thrive in a fun and engaging environment.

With a capacity to care for 140 children, our center has been a beloved part of the community since 1981. We are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching space where children can make friends, learn new skills, and create wonderful memories.
