The Juniper School

Welcome to The Juniper School!

Nestled in the heart of Columbus, OH, The Juniper School is a special place where children blossom and grow. As an independent, not-for-profit private school, we proudly offer a Waldorf-inspired education for little ones aged 0-3 in our Caregiver/Child Classes, as well as for children aged 3-6 in Early Childhood and Kindergarten. We also cater to older students in Grade One to Grade Five/Six.

At The Juniper School, we believe in the magic of childhood! Our approach is all about play, rhythm, and creativity. We focus on nurturing qualities like excellence, wholeness, goodness, strength, beauty, kindness, and a commitment to anti-racism. Each day is filled with joyful learning experiences that inspire curiosity and imagination.

The Juniper School is proud to carry on the legacy of the Briar Rose Children's Center, which lovingly served the community from 1999 to 2011. After a brief pause, we reopened our doors in 2014 as an early childhood program, and in 2018, we expanded to include elementary grades. Our vision is to grow even further and become a chartered non-public school serving children from Pre-K through 8th Grade.
