Welcome to Caloundra Community Kindergarten!

At Caloundra Community Kindergarten, we believe that every child deserves a joyful and enriching start to their learning journey. For nearly 60 years, our community-based, not-for-profit kindergarten has been a cherished place for children aged 4 years old to explore, play, and grow.

A Play-Based Learning Adventure

Our kindergarten offers a play-based learning environment where children can discover the world around them through fun and engaging activities. We focus on nurturing:

• Social skills: Making friends and learning to share.
• Emotional development: Understanding feelings and building confidence.
• Literacy and numeracy: Laying the foundation for reading, writing, and math.
• Physical development: Encouraging movement and coordination.

Guided by Frameworks

We follow the Early Years Learning Framework, C&K's Curriculum Approach, and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines to ensure that our programs are not only fun but also educational and developmentally appropriate.

Community and Family Involvement

We believe that parents and the community play a vital role in a child's education. That's why we have a strong emphasis on parent involvement and community engagement. Together, we create a supportive and nurturing environment for our little learners.

Flexible Group Options

To accommodate families, our kindergarten operates 5 days a fortnight, divided into two friendly groups:

• Red Group: Monday, Tuesday, and alternating Wednesdays.
• Yellow Group: Thursday, Friday, and alternating Wednesdays.
