At Gum Nut Gully Preschool, we have been nurturing little minds and supporting families since 1987. As an independent, not-for-profit preschool, our heart is dedicated to creating a safe and loving environment for every child. We believe in the rights of children to participate, have a purpose, and be protected from harm, and we proudly follow the Child Safe Standards to ensure this.

We are known for our high-quality services that help each child reach their full potential. Our programs for 3 and 4-year-olds are designed with care, based on sound principles of child development and education. We follow the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, ensuring that every child’s learning journey is both rewarding and enjoyable.

Exciting Bush Kinder Program

In 2019, we launched our Bush Kinder program for our 4-year-old groups. This unique program allows children to learn while being immersed in the beauty of nature. Here, they can investigate, explore, take risks, and connect with the natural environment around them. Inspired by forest schools in Norway, we embrace the idea that there’s no such thing as bad weather—just bad clothing! Our educators bring this philosophy to life along the banks of the Mullum Mullum Creek.
