Welcome to Jervis Bay Public School!

Nestled in the beautiful Booderee National Park, Jervis Bay Public School is more than just a school; it’s a vibrant community hub! Established in 1914, our school has a rich history, originally serving Defence families. Over the years, we have blossomed into a diverse institution, welcoming students from the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community, HMAS Creswell, Jervis Bay Village, and the surrounding areas.

Our Programs

At Jervis Bay School, we offer a variety of programs to cater to our young learners:

• Three-year-old Koori preschool program
• Four-year-old preschool program
• Classes from kindergarten to year six

A Strong Community Connection

We take pride in our strong ties to the local community, with around 90% of our students identifying as Indigenous. This is the highest percentage among ACT schools! Our curriculum is deeply rooted in the traditional knowledges of First Nations people, emphasizing the idea of 'Country as Teacher.' We align our teachings with the Australian Curriculum for primary years and the Early Years Learning Framework for preschool.
