History

• 1957: Founded in Quinta Favilla, Avenida do Infante, Funchal.
• 1958: Moved to Grande Hotel Belmonte, Monte.
• 1961: Received Alvará nº 1635.
• 1970: Introduced coeducation.
• 1974: Closed the boarding school, operating as Externato and Semi-internato.
• 1978: Received pedagogical parallelism and public utility title.
• 1981: Entered into a Contract of Association with the Regional Government of Madeira.
• 1995: Declared the old building as cultural heritage.
• 2000: New management model with two teachers in the direction.
• 2003: Introduced full-time school regime.
• 2006: Opened preschool for children aged 5.
• 2015: Expanded preschool to include children aged 4.
