History

Founded on July 11, 1971, by Padre José Félix, the school was established to provide a safe and educational space for children, responding to the growing number of working mothers.

Current Team

The team consists of approximately 91 professionals, including a director, technical directors for various departments, educators, and support staff.

Organizational Structure

The governing body includes a President, Treasurer, two members, and a Secretary, all appointed every four years by the Bishop of Aveiro. The Fiscal Council consists of a President and two members.

Key Dates

• 1971: Inauguration of the Centro Paroquial de São Bernardo.
• 1974: Inauguration of the creche with 57 children.
• 2008: Start of the Centro de Atividades de Tempos Livres (CATL) for the 2nd cycle.
• 2021: 50th anniversary celebrations with various activities.
• 2023: Change in leadership with Dr. Bruno Portelada becoming the Director of Services.
